Let me recollect : month of May 2009

attended a few AGMs

1) DIGI (Mandarin Oriental -7/5/09) where they gave RM50 Digi prepaid card.
2) PPB (Wisma Jerneh ) - goodie bag + 2 GSC movie tickets
3) Pos Malaysia Bhd - gift : First Day Cover w stamps
Buffet Lunch At Diatas Brasserie (The Legend Hotel)
4) MMC (Royale Chulan) - fantastic spread of food b4 meeting (pandan chicken - 2 thumbs up)
- elegance setting for dinner (as per photo) after meeting
But food (nice to see, ok to eat... )
- 1 resolution was not pass where shareholder cast votes
by show of hands : they objected the increase of directors' fees!

Watch Movie

Yesterday we watched Monster Vs Aliens in 3D at Cathay Cineleisure.
It cost us RM51.00 . The show was so FUNNY, the President played the keyboard stylishly and the tune is great! Would prefer if the ending be more exciting...
But another funny part was myself, before the show start, the commentator asked us to wear the 3D glass / spec to check whether faulty or not. So I found the vision blurred.
So I tried my son 3D spec, also blurred.. How Come ??? And my son said - super clear!
Minutes later I realised (during 3D trailer), I forgot to put on my powered spec before the 3D spec. Aiyah, I am so BLURRED... =D

You : Can you tell me what crazy things have you done
that are different from others?

Me : We had watched 4 movies on 1 go at GSC 1 Utama.
Wanted to watch more, but daddy gave up. On
the same day we went for 'Makan-thon', tasted the food
from 5 different restaurants non-stop! We had done
'travelling-thon' of 10 overseas trips within 15 months.
Extremely exciting, full of adventures! The best part
was most of the trips were won :-) All Glory to God!

and Right attitude plus some luck / blessings !



Me : We won 1st prize for X'mas tree decoration.
We are standing outside ....

You : Ya, I can see you all 'standout'!



Me : Here, I won Grand Prize for giving a unique
& practical suggestion. It also appeared on NST.

You : Eh, Eh same outfit? Your Lucky outfit ???





Me : The above photos was taken in Dec 2006 (Hong Kong).
We represent Malaysia to compete among other ASEAN
countries for some treasure hunt event. With the right
3Rs factors ...

Me : yes, you will standout in life. Malaysia was the only country
that won 2 awards in that event. This HK Family Fun event
was aired for 2 episodes during CNY 2007 on 8TV.
You must be : unique !

I know, I know, 'unique click' on Nuffnang ads only get $ mah ..

Me : To be a Standout , we must have Bold character and
own identity just like "Tiger Beer" :-)

THE JOY OF LOVE

Today we had Holy Communion in the church.
As usual we were served with tiny cups of grape drink
and broken pieces of biscuit in remembrance of Lord Jesus Christ.
So I randomly pick up a cup and a piece of biscuit. I am so overwhelmed with
surprise to see that the tiny biscuit is heart shaped ( I have taken these
biscuits for years but never have I seen the biscuit broken into heart shaped!! )

His body was broken because He Loves us all ...



Another occassion where LOVE was felt with amazement is when we checked-out
from the hotel in Disney World Orlando. As we came out from the buggy at the main
lobby for direct checked-in to our flight back to New York, without knowing why, my family and I looked up at the sky and we saw a jetplane. It was writing words with the smoke ...

JESUS LOVES U was literally spoken to us... a very unique way to bid us farewell...
but we don't know what's in store for us...

Actually we had spent 5 days/nights visiting WonderWorks & Walt Disney Orlando, and on
the 6th day (a day before we fly back to Malaysia) we were contemplating visiting
either Universal Studio Orlando or The Holy Land Experience (like a theme park).
We opt for The Holy Land Experience since we are Malaysian. Little did we know, later
the following year God Blessed us with Holy Land Study Trip... Praise The Lord!

Petronas Twin Towers

2) Looking from Menara TA at certain point, we can only
see one of the twins...

3) From another view of a hotel, we can see the Petronas Twin Towers reflections on beautiful glass windows as shown on pictures below.....

FANTASTIC NATURAL PHENOMENA

I was looking outside the bus window during my journey
to Mount Sinai in Egypt. On my right were hills and mountains
of all shades of brown accompanying our trip.
If you wore dark sunglasses, you can enjoy the beautiful
mountains with splendid colours - out from a painting!
I love beautiful landscape... suddenly something caught my eyes.
As most mountains are dry, this one was absolutely different.
It looks like the sand on it was sliding down with big rock
sailing down beautifully (as if it was skiing gracefully....)
If I was driving, I would definitely stop & snap a photo of it.
I am still wondering what it is!

MISMATCHED NAMES

Sometimes names can be very misleading especially mismatched names.
New generation marketing strategy is full of creativity and aiming to leave
a strong impact on customers. Names that are mismatched are hard to FORGET!

For eg. the brand OriginalFake is very interesting coz it gives a mixed interpretations. Original look like Fake or Fake look like Original or ????

A shop named Kitschen, once glance at the name - we may think a kitchen appliance
shop or kitchen cabinet - interior shop ... BUT Actually "Kitschen" is high fashion
clothes / apparels shop! Unbelievable ...



How about "The Birdcage" and
"Storybook Couture" ?
They are all within Fashion Roadblock,
nothing to do with birds, cage or storybooks...
